What room size will I need?
This will depend on what you are storing. If you are moving house a guide is shown on our price list.
top »Do I have to climb stairs?
We do have rooms available at ground level as well as 1st floor rooms. Our 1st floor rooms can be accessed by either a flight of stairs, or by a 2.2 tonne passenger/goods lift for your convenience. Both access doors are approx. 5ft wide.
top »What if the room I have selected is not big enough, or is too big?
No problem. We can arrange for a larger or smaller room to be allocated. Obviously this will depend upon availability. However, we will always do our very best to accommodate your needs.
top »Will my property be secure?
All our rooms are purpose built with steel. We have a state of the art 24 hour CCTV system and fully alarmed buildings. In addition, you will have your own padlock ensuring that only you have access to your room. The alarms are directly linked to an official body, ie, police or security company.
As part of our commitment to security, you will be required to provide photographic identification, eg current passport, photo driving licence. In addition a photo will be taken of all new customers and stored with their records. We will also require proof of your address, eg Council Tax bill, utility bill, landline telephone bill - all of which must be current.
top »Will I have to insure my property?
Yes. It is a condition of renting one of our rooms that there is adequate insurance as there is always a small risk that something could go wrong. There are two options:
- Some household insurance policies cover goods away from home.
- We could add you to our insurance policy.
When will I be able to gain access to the storage area?
Once the room and key has been allocated, you can gain access to your room at any time of day or night.
The office is open 8.30am-5am Mon-Fri 9am-1pm Saturday.
